Studies on the In Vivo Antimicrobial Activity of Oxalyl Norfloxacin Bivalent Ligand Compound

Abstract
|
|
|
The in vivo antimicrobial activities of oxalyl norfloxacin bivalent ligand compound was compared with those of norfloxacin and amoxicillin.
In more protection test, oxalyl norfloxacin has lower ED_50 than norfloxacin and amoxicilline against G(-) bacteria, E. coli ATCC 25922 and P. aeruginosa 1771 and it has similar ED_50 to norfloxactin and lower ED_50 than amoxicillin against G(+) bacterium, Bacillus anthracis IRD-IUR. Therefore, oxalyl norfloxacin bivalent ligand compound showed more potent antimicrobial activities in vivo than in vitro.
